Nuclear power forms one of the essential forms of energy used in different nations all over the world and aims at improving the economy of these states having safety, cost and even feasibility under consideration. Nuclear fusion involves a process where numerous nuclei join to yield heavier nucleus. The process gets convoyed by either energy release or absorption that is also relies on masses of the nuclei involved. The highest binding and stable energies that commonly get used in the process are the iron and nickel. To release the energies, the fusion of two nuclei lighter than iron takes place but when the energy is to get absorbed, the fusion of the nuclei heavier than iron and nickel takes place. The fusion that takes place in stars and the supernovae forms the main process of the creation of the new elements and this forms the process through which the fusion power get harnessed.
In the contrary, nuclear fission channels to the process where large nucleus get divided into smaller nuclei accompanied by energy release. The process is significant and results into the release of large amounts of energy. The most appropriate form of the nuclear power for the US economy is the nuclear fusion. For the growth of distinct economies, the processes adopted should be cost effective, efficient and safe for the individuals. It is for this reason why fusion proves efficient to the US economy. The release of energy from the process do not require heavy nuclei since the production of energy involves two nuclei that are lighter than iron and nickel as opposed to the fission that involves splitting larger atoms to release energy. The breakdown of the nuclear can hazardous to the environment and to the health of the individuals. When the breakdown takes place inside a plant it yields the side effects to the health of the plant that can retard its development and to the health of the people. It thus proves not to be safe.
The nuclear fusion process yields energy that is clean and thus does not contribute to the release of the greenhouse gases. This further proves that the safety of using the fusion as a source of energy and thus enhance the growth of the economy. The money that get channeled in taking care of the greenhouse gases that release from other sources of energy, for instance, in the combustion of coal get used in other areas of economy and this can enhance the economy of the US.
The form of energy is also inexpensive as it only uses the sea water as the source of fuel. With the US getting endowed with the numerous water resources such as that from the pacific and the Atlantic Ocean, the process is cheap for the use in the economy. It thus forms limitless form of fuel that accessible for use. The process uses the deuterium that can get distilled from the sea water. Besides, the tritium used in the process can also get bred in the reactor. The high cost of fuel incurred while using other forms of energy can also get used in the other sector of the economy and the result is an improved economy in the whole nation.
