Carroll’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is the well-known model of the CSR through analyzing four significant levels. These are the economic, ethical, philanthropic and legal. According to the view of Carroll, the CSR is the conduct of doing business in such a way which can be economically profitable, ethical, law abiding and the socially acceptable. In this regard, the current essay would focus on the critical evaluation of Nestle’s approach by using the Four-part model of Carroll. Furthermore, the major focus would also put on the critical analysis of the Carroll’s model itself.
The corporate social responsibility has been identified as the obligation of corporations to its stakeholders. In the context of the similar instance, Przychodzeń and Przychodzeń (2014) specified that the CSR approached had been initiated by the brands to forecast its responsibility towards the society. The governmental bodies had established the national public policy to offer a sustainable environment to the society, labours and the employees within a specific region. Carroll’s pyramid four part model had been widely used by the enterprises to understand the attributes the CSR activities need to follow while implementing the action. Sharma et al. (2009) determined that although the components of the specific model are not highly exclusive, yet, it helps the managers to understand the indifferent loop holes of an enterprise.
