Aggression in children with delayed speech, motor functioning and peer interaction areas is most commonly caused by as attention deficient/hyperactivity disorder AD/HD. This is due to the brain developing at a much slower rate than in a normal child. Since this affects the reception of various stimuli by making the child slow in perceiving situation that are of interest, aggression is possibly a means of protecting themselves from the jeers of other kids. Other causes include: the media the child is exposed to, and environmental factors such as poor parenting, violence at home and social economic factors such as divorce &single parenthood.
By collaborating with other professionals the child is better placed for assistance towards understanding their situation. For instance a behaviourist is better placed to help the child to understand their condition while pointing out better ways of handling the situations causing the aggression.
