A/B: Growing up, my parents told me that a healthy lifestyle is the premise of everything we do. Therefore, growing up, I found myself adopting a healthier lifestyle by eating a balanced diet and exercising on a regular basis. I also came to discover that the manner in which one manages stress is also an indicator of our lifestyles. We should try and avoid stress through relaxation. I live by these rules and I have found myself dealing with fewer illnesses compared to some of my counterparts. I am also very energetic and have managed to maintain my body mass index. I have found this to also be helpful in my studies. I take up different forms of exercise such as running to help me study. Sometimes I exercise with my friends during our free time. However, in the past year, I have found myself neglecting my workout routine. I attribute this to my hectic study schedule and my involvement with other important stuff. As a result, I didn’t have enough time to exercise. The lack of exercise has impacted me negatively and I feel more fatigued than usual. Therefore, I hope to squeeze in time to work out in future.

A: I have held an attended many parties in my short life; however, my most impressionable was my 18th birthday party.
B: On this day, my best friend surprised me with a beautifully crafted handmade birthday card.
A/B: The best party that I ever participated in was my 18th birthday party. Every person dreams of turning 18 and having a party to commemorate this day.My party was held at home where I invited all my friends. This was an important day for me as it marked my entry into adulthood and the privileges that come with being 18. There was plenty of food for everyone and mocktails were served. We also got a chance to laugh and challenge each other by taking part in the escape room. This was my best party yet and I enjoyed every moment of it. I also received presents each making an impact on my life in some way small or big. However, my most memorable present was presented to me by my best friend. It was a handmade birthday card that contained some touching words honoring our friendship. I could see the love and time my friend had sacrificed in making the card and it was one of the best things someone had done for me. I gave my friend a hug and we joined others at the party. People laughed, played and danced. It was the beginning of a new cycle of life for me one that I hoped to share with my family and friends.

B: Last year, I had to change my travel plans because of a weather forecast that predicted bad weather.
A/B: Life is a double-edged sword that is marred with good and bad news. In my case, my good news was unexpected. To understand why the news was good, I will have to talk about my travel to Tianjin. This was a family holiday and I would be lying if I said I did not have high expectations for this trip. We make it a point as a family to travel together and create memory. Unfortunately, this trip was going to be marred with challenges. Upon our arrival, we realized that the weather would not be as pleasant. Tianjin was snowing all morning and we thought that we would spend the whole trip indoors. We played cards to fill our time. Fortunately, I saw a weather broadcast on TV predicting sunny weather for the next several days. I cannot describe the relief I felt. The rip was back on track. In the next few days, we witnessed the snow melt as the sun shone brightly. The warmth of the sun was a welcome relief. We engage in outdoor activities as a family and because we were away from our normally hectic lives, we managed to bond. In the first few days, the snow had prompted us to change our travel plans. Fortunately, the sunny weather turned around the events and we had a lovely time.

A: My sister has always had a hard time baking a mooncake. But during the last Mid-Autumn Festival, I squeezed in time to teach her how to bake the cake.

A/B: Chinese are a people strongly rooted to their culture. Therefore, we take time to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival which is always celebrated on October or September and is marked when the moon appears in its fullest. This festival symbolizes peace and togetherness. This explains why we eat the round mooncakes during this festival with our families. This cake is round in nature to mimic the roundness if the full moon. For my sister, learning the art of baking this cake was something she had desired for a while. Therefore, in the spirit of love and promoting family union, I decided to set time apart to teach her. We, therefore, proceeded to make the dough and filling. We also used a traditional Chinese moon cake mold and placed it in the oven. Our mooncake was decorated with various characters from the Chinese culture and contained several delicate patterns. After preparation, we proceeded to consume this cake with tea. We were in a giving mood and therefore, we packed several cakes in beautiful boxes and distributed them to some of our family friends as gifts for the holiday. During the nighttime, my family and I would go outside and look at the moon and also engage in lantern lighting.

As a child the idea of an ideal house seemed farfetched. However, as an adult, it has become more real. Every individual is driven by the need to live in a suitable house where by the end of the day, they can say, “home sweet home.” The definition of an ideal house differs from one person to the next depending on an individual’s interests. Most people chose an ideal house based on location and design. However, I feel like an ideal house is one that offers enjoyment and offers satisfaction regardless of its size. My ideal house is one that is located in Greece and is convenient. It should also possess bright features that go in line with my preferences. The house should have a beautiful garden and should be overlooking the charming and beautiful Greek beaches. For décor, I would prefer the Greek art. Greece is a land with an extensive history and this history is presented through their pieces of arts. Therefore, I feel that these artworks would give me a better insight into their history and culture. I would love to live here during the holiday seasons. Despite having an ideal house in mind, I am aware of the fact that no house is without its quirks. However, these imperfections give a house a personality that helps it express the owner’s true side. Therefore, my ideal house is one that expresses who I am as a person.
