It is no coincidence that after the 9/11 terrorism catastrophes in New York, the New York Police Department (NYPD), the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), and the Central Investigation Agency (CIA) have to be in their best and highest alert on matters concerning security. Such cases involve very sensitive matters going up the chain of command, the law, and even the civil rights movements. However, the big picture relates to keeping the law as well as protecting the American citizens.
According to the article, the Anti-terror operation that was and is carried by the NYPD Intelligence division is responsible for developing aggressive counter-terrorism programs with the help of former and current CIA officials.
