2 Abstract
The purpose of this experiment is to find out the evolution of multicellular yeast and how they have survived over time. The experiment uses rotifers as the main predators on two strains of yeast; C1W3 and Y55 which are stained blue and red respectively. When a multicellular organism defects from a unicellular one, it rarely survives the test of time and eventually dies. This is all in accordance to Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution which proposes “survival of the fittest.” It states that organisms with the strongest of genes and even those that are equally adaptable in any given situation during evolution survive and adapt to become even stronger organisms.
Keywords; theory of evolution, multicellular organism, rotifers, yeast strains.
