The NCIS television program is a film series that features a team of fictional investigators in the Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) who seek to expose corrupt officers in the American Navy and Marine forces. The title is derived from the NCIS agency that is mandated to offer intelligence and security service to the citizens. This film is of significant to me because one of my uncles serves in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and the NCIS film paints a picture of the hardships he undergoes in the service. Through the exposures fiction in the film we get to acknowledge the good deeds of our forces and at the same time criticize the astray conducts of some of them who still hold the inviolable notion. Security agencies have been presumed of indulging in criminal activities, for instance, being involved in the sales of illegal drugs, involvement in terrorism and even perpetrating the murder of innocent citizens among others violating human rights. The film covers this aspect as the NCIS team investigates and proves the connection of some officers in the Marine and Navy forces with crimes in their course of actions. This criticism is important as it ensures that the conduct of our security forces is acceptable in the sense that they consider their actions before embarking on them. Also in the film the team is seen supported by other specialties in the investigations such as physiologists and forensic experts locally and internationally, this shows that this is not only a challenge experienced in America but also a worldwide problem.
