Current explosion in cloud computing
The whole world has gone digital and everything currently is done over the internet. Cloud computing is one of the key indicators of how the world has become digitalized. Cloud computing entails storing data and software in an online server where people can access the information efficiently. The system was firmly established in 2008 but in has experienced a great explosion in the recent days. Many authors have written about the recent cloud explosion and this summary offers idea expressed by three authors who firmly create a conversation of this explosion. To start with, the great explosion has led to introduction of hybrid cloud (Armbrust, 2015). This is a cloud computing model that combines both private and public cloud features. The system has brought a new change in many organizations since its stores big data, it is more secure and it is cost effective. According to the author, hybrid could is the new face of cloud computing and it occurs at a better time of great explosion where people expect new things every day in the world of technology. The main stream in many companies is hybrid cloud due its power and efficiency. The level of security in this system is of high quality and thus guaranteeing consumer’s safety of their information. Generally, hybrid cloud is one of the key indicators of the explosion in cloud computing.
After analyzing the articles, it is clear that the current explosion in cloud competing has led to introduction of BYOD. BYOD is the current trend in cloud computing that is associated with introduction of smartphones in the world. "Bring your own device" BYOD means that people can now access cloud computing through their phones (Marinos, 2015). This has a lot of benefits to cloud users regardless of the level of usage. To start with, users are able to privatize important data through the use of their phones since phones are more secure and easy to manage. Another importance is based on accessibility; users are able to access information from the server at any place and time through the use of smartphones. Finally, users are able to share information through the server at ease and efficiently. Smartphone are part of the current explosion in cloud computing as explained by different authors.
Finally, management of big data has been a problem with many cloud computing platforms where companies have been experiencing server failure to due feeding their server with big data (Buyya, 2014). However, the current explosion has brought a solution. The new explosion has brought a new feature in cloud computing which is able to support big data.
