In the society we live in, change is inevitable and it’s an important part of every human life’s existence. Change can be challenging to achieve at first but beneficial in the long run. Change is a framework to discover our true integrity and broaden our sense of worth to see opportunities and ideas that were never open on sight. Change exposes and enables us to appreciate the world around us. It all starts with acquiring knowledge of how everything works and how mindful living is of value in society.
THESIS: The juxtaposition of ordinary and extraordinary events and details in Ray Bradbury’s novel Fahrenheit 451 and Marquez's "The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World" centers on this fact; change is inevitable and valuable for every human beings’ life. However, the transformative change in Marquez's "The Handsomest Drowned Man in the World" is mainly perceived and utilizes his strongest literacy tool of magical realism to spark community change from imagination. In contrast, Ray Bradbury’s inspired change seems surrealist, or a fantastic emptiness of life emanating the inside of a person.
