Do you Think it is Possible for an Outsider to Accurately Discern About the Underlying Cultural Values of an Organization by Analyzing Symbols, Ceremonies, Dress, or Other Observable Aspects of Culture in Comparison to an Insider with Several Years of Work Experience? Select a Percentage (e.g., 10%, 70%, etc.) and Explain Your Reasoning.
Yes, a stranger can discriminate the existing organizational cultural values if they can accurately understand the observable aspects of a company’s culture. Culture is comprised of beliefs, values and norms that members share within an organization. The observable behaviors such as ceremonies, dressing, stories, and behaviors are mainly likely to resemble the underlying values of beliefs, assumptions, attitudes, and feelings that the company may possess. On this insight, it is, therefore, possible for outsiders to depict the underlying cultural values of an organization with up to 90 percent accuracy.

It is such a dominant influence in the story and image of an organization in that it is the first aspect of scrutiny when any person or other organizations want to learn about an organization. Investors, competitors, and job-seekers are just a few interested parties who will use observable aspects of an organization’s culture to understand its underlying values and determine if they can blend in and with them.
