Album title: ‘RED’ by Taylor Swift.
‘Red is the 4th album by Taylor Swift released in 2012 by Big Machine records. It is the first Swift’s pop adult album decorated with beautiful photos and amazing sounds. Taylor worked on the album ‘Red’ when she was 22 years old. She is a competent and decent in her lyrics with hefty guitar knowledge (Schwartz, Mankato &Capstone Press, 30). The album ‘Red’ features 16 songs carrying theme of love and heartbreak each with different styles and sounds. Taylor Swift embedded ideas she experienced during her adolescent stage in coming up with this album. Every song is characterized by a unique instrumentation with unique sound that creates intense rhythmic and driving pop stratosphere. ‘Red’ is inspired by love experiences filled with uncertainities due to failed love (Wheelwright, 77). Though it carriers message on issues of teenage love, this album also carries some messages on adult matters.
‘Red’ has decent lyrics energized with structural sounds and instrumentation that comes as a fair treat for die-hard fans. ‘22’ though it is a sad song its beats makes danceable and fun. Its instrumental version is appealing backup with regular background vocals to bring up the prosaic imagery of teenage life. Teenage love on spending time mostly in partying and having fun is illustrated.
Gentle guitar strums soundtrack describes the song ‘I Almost Do’ describing how she almost reconnected with her ex which let to ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’. Its texture is same throughout and the electric guitar took over the melody. ‘Starlight’ has danceable beats filled with feeling of love in the air. It marks swift crushing period. Swift takes a role of a prince. This part makes a summary fills and fills the role of the tittle ‘Red’.
In ‘We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together’, Swift explains ground of breakups. Its assembling of chords and backing vocals makes it practically artistic and convey the theme clearly. It earns the attention of the audient. It flows things slowly for those depressed from breakup. ‘Everything Has Changed’ by Swift and Sheeran shows a certain impact on new romance (Spencer, Toronto, & Ontario: ECW Press, 7). It captures the attention of the listener driving one crazy. Its beats without being told fills the atmosphere with love and romance.
In the song ‘Begin Again’ Swift is seen genuinely happy and hipsters eyeing on new girls in town. This is where falling in love with strangers happen.
