My name is Rachel Nurse, and I’m a Cardiff-based freelance writer specialising in international business, finance and economics. I am a skilled and news-oriented journalist with a vision to provide useful, fresh, prompt and truthful news to the public.
My work has featured in Al Jazeera, Cardiff University and Great Escape Publishing. I have more than six years of professional experience in the journalism industry freelancing and working for a variety of media outlets.
I have a passion for business education, and I’d love to use my expertise and insights to write a piece for The Economist. I’ve included a story idea below that I think will resonate with your readers which consists of ten interviewees (I contacted 72 people in total) and an array of reliable secondary sources:
Is technology the answer to business education issues during COVID-19?
The business education sector’s relationship with the world of technology may be slow to change, but the post-coronavirus economy will demand it. Remote study and working from home COVID-19 will change and challenge global economics.
The increase of people using platforms such as Zoom to working-from-home (WFH) is on the rise, and I am currently researching the new remote learning and WFH model.
Face-to-face meetings are likely to become rarer permanently now we have the app Zoom to make group calls. Emphasis will be the business angle from the view of the providers and of the users, looking at potential cost-savings.
The angle will be investigating how COVID-19 has changed the education business world and if the answer is to invest in technology strategies to teach students from home.
