ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
To the Almighty God, for the charitable time and strength, aptitude, persistence and more so life and chance to complete my field attachment and this report. I could have done nothing if it was not for His divine purpose on my life.
Throughout my attachment I have been surrounded by individuals who have demonstrated not only a gracious generosity with their time and expertise, but a genuine desire to help me in my learning in the industrial set up. I am especially grateful to the New K.C.C for the chance they gave me to be part of their skilled team and especially my supervisors Eng. Patrick Wanjohi, Eng. Erick Kimathi, Eng. Ishmael Mwereria and Eng. Patrick Kariavu for their advice and guidance while I was in the field. It was their persistent criticism and assistance that brought hope and confidence in me as I was working, even at the most depressing moments. This guy was truly a source of inspiration. His support has certainly made working at New K.C.C a good experience, our support was in deed a great resource.
I would like to thank my parents Mr. and Mrs. Kipkorir with sincere gratitude for their absolute support in trying to make me a better man in life I extend the same gratitude to my siblings for their prayers, motivation and advice.
To my colleagues at the place of my attachment, I thank them for their comprehensive support during the time I worked with you.
In deed this achievement was a team effort. Thank you all. iv
