The Stetlar Model of EBP outlines five phases, preparation, validation, comparative decision-making, application or translation, and evaluation, followed in utilizing research in EBP change. Current practice focuses on communicable diseases while limiting prevention and treatment of non-communicable diseases. In LirnCare community environment, many patients suffering from hypertension present with loss of productivity and deprived quality of life. Therefore, there is a need for EBP change in the healthcare setting to reduce the rates of hypertension and suppress the adverse consequences to population’s lives.
