Biological Changes Caused by Obesity
Obesity is a health condition that is caused by the accumulation of triacylglycerols in the adipose tissues. The excessive weight gained causes severe biological changes that can lead to diseases and mortality. The biological changes are problematic since the adipose tissue acts as a contributor to the endocrine system, which ensures that the body is functioning optimally. These biochemical changes contribute significantly to the pathophysiology of the diseases that affect over 600 million obese people globally (Kryou et al.,2018). Obesity affects the biological functions of various facets of the body that control its immunity, weight, and glucose breakdown. Thus, this article will show how excessive gain weight has caused biological changes in obese people.
