L’Orйal is the biggest company in the world that deals with cosmetics and beauty products. Since its inception in 1909, L’Orйal has grown to establish subsidiaries in 130 countries across the world (Fivek, Hovis, Miller, & Spangler, 1, 2015). The company has employed about 86,000 people across its global locations. It generates revenues of $29.4 billion, while its main competitor Unilever generates $21.5 billion (L’Orйal, 2, 2018). Due to the impacts of globalization, L’Orйal has found new opportunities to grow its customer base beyond one billion (Fivek et al., 1, 2015). The current paper aims at evaluating L’Orйal’s overall success from the perspectives of globalization, technological changes, industrial organization model, and resource-based model. Further, the mission and vision statements of the corporation are analyzed and how each stakeholder influences the firm’s overall success.
