The figure above demonstrates how the logo of Coca-Cola Company has been modified over time. Similarly, the products have also been improved regarding taste and the bottle design. The company was invented by John Stith Pemberton, and he started it in Atlanta, Georgia. John Stith was a pharmacist, and he began by selling coca-cola beverages as medicinal drinks. The name coca cola came from the two main ingredients that were used in the production of the coca cola drinks. They include the leaves of coca and the kola nuts. The coca cola company deals with the production of beverage products only. The company has over 500 brands in the market, and more brands are still in the process of being invented. Some of the brands of the coca cola company include; coca cola, coca cola zero sugar, Fanta, sprite, honest tea, minute maid, Dasani, Del Valle and many more (Coca-colacompany.com). Below is a demonstration of some coca cola brands attractively packaged ready for sale;

The brands are distributed in about 200 countries in the world. Coca-cola has succeeded in penetrating new markets, and the company’s brands have always been accepted in the new markets because the products are of high quality. The portfolio of the company has beverages that are most valued in the world today, and that is one advantage that the company enjoys. Coca-Cola Company has its own bottling company situated in North America (Adeyemi & Salami, 2010). By owning its own bottling company, the organization reduces the cost of outsourcing. Due to the introduction of competing brands, in 1984, the market share of coca cola greatly reduced. The company has a history of acquiring small companies and differentiating the products of those companies to come up with powerful brands that can attract more customers. The company has advertised its products across all nations and customers can identify the company’s products by the logo and the unique bottle design.
