Introduction

These rapid technological changes have brought various developments such as Big Data, robotics, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, energy technologies, 3D printing, drone technologies, and satellites (Kotabe and Helsen, 2020).  The technological surrounding of the business world has drastically changed how businesses are conducted. This paper will discuss some of the technological changes that have occurred recently, how rapid technology has changed the business world, and the impacts brought about by this change (Bloom et al., 2016). Following this technological advancement, there have been various significant changes in how business management is currently being done across the world. The technology used in business management has shifted from good to better means facilitated by unique internet access, reliability, and scalability of data centers and improved tools for software development (Ferraris et al., 2018). Among the technological changes that have taken place in business are business management applications. Business management has experienced a more remarkable revolution due to the cloud computing system. Before this, business management was quite hectic and time-consuming. Managers would rely on the programs and applications downloaded from another physical computer or perhaps an internal server installed from within. However, business operations have been made simpler through cloud computing as internet browsers allow business people to access similar applications online (Khin and Ho, 2018). This impact has been positive as it will enable computer-generated resources to be accessed quickly and shared virtually in a more scalable and secure manner. These applications have made business operations flexible, cost-effective, and secure with reliable instant access to all the available applications for business management anywhere, on time, and on any computer device (Cockburn et al., 2019). This has enabled business managers to easily access business operations conveniently and exercise their duties more appropriately.
Information technology is fundamental for efficient and effective communication both internally and externally. Business management is only considered adequate when there are proper communication channels where all the employees, customers, and other various stakeholders can easily be reached without any difficulty (Kotabe and Helsen, 2020).  This has been made possible through email and office applications. The long-gone in-house email server is today of no importance as cloud computing provides reliable email services that ensure that business communications are well-conducted, whether internally or externally. Internally, business data is easily and conveniently conveyed amongst the employees, thereby making operations faster and time-saving than before (Shaik and Dhir, 2021). This ensures that information is conveniently shared among various sections of the business. Furthermore, email office applications and external office communications are well structured and organized through social media and email marketing systems. This has taken care of parties such as customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and consultants who hardly spend their time within the business premises. Through this, the business can effectively reach out to these individuals should need to be and communicate with them effectively. This has positively impacted business operations as information is timely and reliably delivered among all the primary and constituent parties (Millar et al., 2018).
