Asthma: Causes, Signs and Symptoms, and Treatment Methods (Research Paper Sample)
This task is about asthma, a chronic disease affecting the lung. Three things occur when a patient suffers from an asthma attack: bronchospasm, inflammation, and extra mucus production, causing an airway blockage. The disease is classified according to the cause and the cruelty of symptoms. Therefore, we have intermittent asthma that comes and goes while feeling normal—the second persistent, which means the symptoms are experienced more often. Asthma treatment techniques are anti-inflammatory medicines, biological therapies, and bronchodilators.

Asthma
Asthma is when a person experiences narrowing of airways, swelling, and blockage by extra mucus production. As a result, this causes difficulties in breathing, initiates coughing and a whistling sound when a person takes breaths out, and shortness of breath. This kind of respiratory disease is categorized based on its symptoms, causes, and harshness. Therefore, healthcare providers classify them as intermittent asthma, meaning it comes and goes, and a person can feel ordinary during asthma flashes. Persistent asthma is another form of asthma that means an individual has symptoms more often, which can be minor, moderate, or severe (Abuzakouk, Jacob, and Ghorab, 2020). Hence, healthcare givers classify asthma based on symptoms occurrences in an individual.
Additionally, asthma has many causes. First, it can be caused by allergens, such as pollens, pet dander, and molds—secondly, it is non-allergic, which are environmental factors that trigger asthma to sparkle. For instance, stress, illness, exercise, and weather might cause a flare-up. On the other hand, this respiratory disease can be an adult-onset, which means it starts after the age of 18, or childhood asthma that begins below the age of five and can come about in infants and toddlers (Abuzakouk, Jacob, and Ghorab, 2020). Contrary, asthma has three distinct types that are exercise-induced asthma is caused by exercise. The second one is occupational asthma which occurs mostly in individuals working near irritating stuff. Asthma-COPD overlap syndrome is the third type that occurs when a person has chronic obstructive pulmonary disease and asthma. Hence, both diseases are associated with difficulty in breathing.
The signs and symptoms of a patient who has asthma. As mentioned earlier, asthma is characterized by bronchial tube inflammation with extra mucus production causing blockage of airways. And asthmatic patients can experience symptoms when the airways are squeezed, inflamed, and filled with mucus (Abuzakouk, Jacob, and Ghorab, 2020). This section will examine the disease's signs and symptoms due to various factors, including common causes, unusual asthma symptoms, early symptoms, and symptoms of an asthma attack. The usual symptoms of a person who has asthma include; coughing mostly at night, shortness of breath, wheezing, and chest pain. Although not all individuals with asthma have the same symptoms, someone might lack all of the above symptoms or have unlike symptoms at different times (Abuzakouk, Jacob, and Ghorab, 2020). Moreover, it is
