It is a serious health problem in the current society, and the prevalence of the disease is rapidly increasing. However, according to Shafiee et al. (2021), further research has indicated that diabetic foot ulcers are common in patients diagnosed with diabetes, and this calls for the immediate treatment of the disease to reduce the risk of infection and amputation, to improve the function and quality of life and thus reduce healthcare costs. Furthermore, Shafiee et al. (2021) have illustrated that the age of diabetic foot ulcer patients ranges from 40 years to 85 years. However, out of the effective analysis, the age group ranged from 55 to 70 years.
Literary search history
In extracting relevant quantitative data concerning diabetes and diabetes foot ulcer burden disease, there are various databases that contributed to the effectiveness of the data collection process. One effective database that provides recent data concerning diabetes and foot ulcer diabetes is the National Center of Biotechnology Information (NCBI). This database contains relevant and continuously updated biotechnology information. It, therefore, contributes to the delivery of recent quantitative information based on diabetes and foot diabetic ulcer disease.
In extracting relevant, recent and accurate quantitative information based on diabetes and foot ulcer diabetes, a suitable search strategy is considered that contributes to the extraction of appropriate information. A suitable search strategy is choosing key terms and searching keywords through the database. Choosing key terms was based on searching for concepts within the database's search engine with effective scanning of the alternative words and phrases. Keywords used in the search process include diabetes, diabetic foot ulcer, factors, nurses, health profession, amputation and (NCBI) National Center of Biotechnology Information.

The research method and design used
In gathering and establishing relevant information concerning diabetes and diabetic foot ulcer disease, there was the application of a research method and design. A suitable research method was an online survey utilizing online polls, online surveys and web-interrupt surveys. In association with the facilitation of good quantitative research, I applied an effective research design that involved customization of mixed data gathering methods, including survey and analysis of various data collected from initial research conducted. I also implemented a suitable sample size of 10% of the population so long as it does not exceed 1000 people. This illustrates that in a population of 500 people, the 10% population was 50, which could provide relevant information for the research.

According to the data collected, it is clear that diabetes is a chronic disease that is rampaging the current society. It is common in a population ranging from 40 years to 85 years (Wu et al., 2021). Diabetic foot ulcer disease was commonly associated with diabetes chronic disease. It is also clear that inappropriate treatment of diabetic foot ulcers contributes to issues associated with amputation and other health risks.
Strengths and limitations of the study
In conducting this study, an identical strength depicted throughout the process is the ability to relatively analyze data collected that was consistent, precise and reliable. However, the study depicted a limitation since the data collected was not robust enough to provide an extensive explanation concerning complex issues associated with diabetes and diabetic foot ulcer disease.
Diabetes is a chronic disease, and it is commonly associated with diabetic foot ulcer disease in the elderly population of 40 years to 85 years. However, according to the study, the population ranges from 50 to 75 years. Men are characterized as the vulnerable population to diabetes. Amputation and other health risks and the common challenges associated with diabetes and diabetic foot ulcer disease. Therefore, exploring the core causes of the disease and how it should be controlled will act as a suitable solution for diabetes and diabetic foot ulcer disease.
In conclusion, the study establishes diabetes and diabetic foot ulcer disease as common chronic diseases among older people in the current generation. Utilizing a survey as a key quantitative research method with mixing of other methods facilitates the success of the research process in establishing reliable and accurate information. Relevant databases and a suitable search strategy also contribute to acquiring appropriate information concerning the research topic.
