Summary of the Clinical Issue
Health care jobs are among the primary duties in society. Health workers get involved in providing clinical services to patients from different social- economic and cultural backgrounds. In the United States, Health workers account for about 13.5 million in US. Health care jobs are varied. For instance, social workers, such as caregivers, primarily provide services at the clients' homes. Therefore, the healthcare workplace is highly diversified. Of late, Home Health Care (HHC) has grown tremendously as a large number of elderly patients prefer receiving clinical health support at the comfort of their homes. Also, the patients suffering from terminal conditions, the need to reduce congestion in the health facilities, and the need to reduce costs associated with institutional healthcare. This has increased the number of registered nurses attached to home health care in the United States. 
However, the increase in both institutional health care and home health care has led to elevated exposure to unsafe working conditions leading to workplace violence. The situation has created a dangerous working environment that threatens the occupation of health workers as they get targeted by both patients and their relatives. According to Ramacciati et al. (2016), most of the cases of violence in institutional healthcare get reported from the emergency department. The incident has escalated to appoint of needing urgent attention from the relevant authority
