Nursing is an essential profession in health care that focuses on the care if individuals, those of families and communities in order that they are unable to maintain and attain or the recovery of health and that of the quality of life. Being a nurse is a noble career that requires a high level of dedication, willingness and passion in order to be effective and successful. Nursing is therefore founded on ethics and codes of practice that defines its base and creation of the American Nurses Association. ANA is a body that prescribes the ethics and responsibilities of nurses on patients, families, hospitals and the public. In every way the nursing practice is a well founded and effective that seeks to provide professional and quality service to all.
Is your practice consistent with the readings or are there areas that need improvement or adjustment to be consistent with the Scope of practice, codes of ethics, and your states regulations? 
Practicing as a nurse could be like practicing as Doctor or a Lawyer, and like the practices indicated its regulated and managed based on the scope of practice, ethics and regulations that are based in achieving a great level of service delivery. My practice has for a long period of time since the inception of ANA scope of practice and standards been based on high scope of practice and standards. The nursing sector has been growing in a fast speed in the recent years hence to keep up with the pace and within the standards, comprehensive education and training has been affected in my practice to ensure that everyone is updated and in line with any new changes and advancing nursing methodologies, (Gastmans, 2013). A great effort has been taken on realizing a code of ethics in relation to patient care, patient family care, basic work ethics and regulations and changes in patient drug admission and diagnosis management. Essentials of practice including planning and communication, assessment and diagnosis, implementation and coordination have been achieved in my practice. And important of all, a nurse should be registered to practice and achieve a great level of nursing performance.
How your personal practice relates to the ANA’s scope of practice.
ANA is an excellent association in the realization of quality and principled nursing care personal practice. As a practitioner I have managed to benefit from the guidance of ANA materials and resources. With the principles of collaborative relationships I have managed to effect highly collaborative methodologies in order to enhance effective practice in my practicing environments. Resources like principles of social networking and that of the nurse have helped me in realizing a collegial communication between my staff and other nurses in achieving quality health care. What would I say principles of nursing which I cherish in my practice that help in ascertaining the elements in order to achieve safe and quality and evidence based nursing practice, (Nursing World, n.a). The scope of practice thereby provides for me a road map of practicing nursing, strategies of achieving health discipline and set goals as my practice moves forward in pay for quality performance. As we move to make health care and nurse care a cost effective service and realize its objectives, the scope of practice sets the pace for the future of a sold nursing practice.
How your personal practice relates to your state’s legal regulations and professional standards for nurses.
The state regulations and standards on nurse practice is much like the ANA code of practice and ethical standards. The standards are fair as am able to abide by them with little impact to my practice. But there is need for more space and reduced regulations in nurse practice. Certain regulations on staff, location, size, cost, supervision and licensing are a bit overboard as they discourage personal practice, (Nursing World, n.a). I believe with more involvement, nurses and nursing will provide more and better health care than ones provided in closed and private hospitals and clinics.
How you can use Provisions, 7, 8 and 9 to develop your professional nursing practice.
Provisions 7, 8 and 9 deal with ethics, education and evidence based practice and research. Ethics forms foundations for nursing practice for a registered nurse. By following and adopting nursing ethics into my practice I will be able to achieve a great level of patient care satisfaction and satisfy set ethical concepts and rules. Ethical practicing will ensure that my practice certification and registration is secured. Education and training is essential in the modern nursing practices that keeps changing and with advancing technology. Current and new nursing methodologies and trends will enable my practice to be in a steady growth and development towards achieving quality nursing and health care. Training on technological changes and methods will provide relevant expertise and know how to be ahead in nurse care provision, (Fowler, 2008). Evidence based practice and research are the foundations of quality nurse care practice. Research will help in relevant and effective nursing methodologies thus boost the level of my practice expertise and ability.
