Social Justice
Inequality can arise due to unjust prejudice or policies. Social justice can be in relation to practically anything in society. A concept that mainly focused on economics on the early19th century, social justice has expanded to other spheres of social life. This includes race, gender, environment, and other causes and manifestations of inequality. The measure of social justice is universal human dimension.
In an ideal equal scenario, the contribution of every citizen to the overall wellbeing of the society is equal. In turn, they are equally able to benefit from the membership of the society. But, no matter what the policies are in a certain government, there is still the issue of social inequality. It is usually a result of social biases and prejudices. It is linked to inequality of gender, race and wealth.
One aspect that can be observed is on the health care system. With times today, one would think that treatment accessibility and availability of health care would be easy for everyone. Sad to say it is not. It still seems unattainable for many. A well-functioning health care system is composed of motivated and trained health workers, as well as, a steady and reliable supply of medicine and technology. Health plans and policies with proper and adequate funding are important to keep the system working in harmony. The ideal healthcare system is difficult even in countries like the United States of America. Despite the country’s considerable high income, the ultimate desire to give every citizen an access to affordable care is still elusive.
