Introduction
Heterosexuals frequently use the phrase "sexual orientation" to describe people who are attracted to the same sex both physically and mentally. According to Schmidt, heterosexuality is more prevalent among members of the same species (Schmidt, 2019). Even though same-sex relationships and marriage have been divisive for a long time, the general public has only recently begun to show more support and acceptance (Denissen, 2020). Due to their belief that such relationships should not exist, some people see same-sex partnerships to be problematic. The problems that same-sex couples confront daily and the psychological impacts that follow directly from those challenges are the main topics of this article.
The psychological impacts alone have the power to ruin someone's life. They are probably attempting to choose what is best for their life, how to live each day, and how to be themselves regarding their sexual orientation.
