Abstract
Experimental psychology is a field of psychology that uses scientific methodologies to evaluate and understand people’s thoughts and behaviours. Psychologists in this field believe in empiricism (which suggests that all factual statements must be tested and observed to prove any hypothesis rather than depending on intuition, revelation or non-research oriented a priori reasoning. The field concentrates on changes in human reasoning given different circumstances with an emphasis on factors that influence any line of thinking or decision making. Experimental psychology covers a wide range of psychological phenomena’s and human behaviour related to intuition, memory, learning and motivation, sensation and perception, cognition, among others (Ebbinghaus, 2013). This paper seeks to understand and interpret experimental results of human decision making, the relationship between stimuli, emotions, motivation and the ultimate decision making. The experiment findings suggest a strong correlation between emotion and motivation. Moreover, the results indicate that human decision may change in response to the same issue but with a variation of the stimuli.

Introduction
Experimental Psychology
According to psychologists, there are known factors which influence human behaviour and thoughts. Experimental psychology has played a significant role in the exploration of factors that attribute to someone’s actions, attitudes, and thoughts. In light of this, experimental psychology aims at generating science-based information that would allow for an increased understanding of why people do certain things or behave the way they do. Various pieces of researcher have found that conscious aware processing, accompanied by subjective experience are useful parameters that influence behaviours and thoughts among research subjects. As an example, negative facial expressions tend to alter peripheral physiology, thereby affecting judgment even when processed without the boundaries of conscious awareness. In clinical experiments, automatic emotional processing is considered maladaptive. By increasing awareness of emotional triggers, the symptoms of affective disorders are improved. Emotional processing is, therefore, widely used in distinct therapeutic approaches.
