This paper relates intelligence analysis to policy decision making. For a long time, individuals have been forecasting significant events in the society and identified possible uncertainties (National Research Council, 2011). Many people rely on the results of such analysis to make decisions that prevent future loses. The study reviews the forecasting and communication of uncertainties to stakeholders. The findings could be used to improve the field since having better results enable individuals to predict events with a high degree of accuracy and make better decisions. The researcher recommends that the intelligence community should regularly monitor its accuracy to achieve its goals. Some of the things that can be done to improve forecasting include interventions on data and change in behavior. On the other hand, uncertainty communication could be effective if numerical probabilities will be used instead of verbal probability.
