Gender-based violence is a concept that is deeply rooted in gender inequality. Both men and women suffer gender-based violence, but to a large extent, women are mostly affected. This hideous act is mostly varying in different countries. The aspect of violence against women is often ingrained in power inequality between men and women. Asia, as a region, presents is one of the most affected areas. Women and girls are socially excluded and marginalized people in this society. Men have a feeling that women are not “knit from the same cloth” as them. This explains why the region has underdeveloped indicators. The patriarchal system and structure have made this treatment usual, as no one can be brought to law. Despite the existence of support groups such as the Gospel of Asia, that protect women gender-based violence in Asia is still cancer because of son preference and gendercide, Domestic violence, and Widow Oppression.
