Abstract
Antisocial personality disorders are one of the elusive mental problems in the current society. The design is characterized by depiction of abnormal personal behavior character, and reactions to the external changes. The symptoms and signs of the conditions are employed in the diagnosis of the disease. However, the key challenges in the diagnosis are vested in the similarities of the symptoms to those of to other mental conditions such as bipolar personality disorder. The dependencies of the diagnosis process to the symptoms that are similar with those other diseases and depend on the observation by external concerned parties limit the efficiency and applicability of the diagnostic design. In addition, the symptoms are not manifested until in the late teenage and early adulthood making the diagnostic process inapplicable for the younger ages. The diagnostic design of the antisocial personality disorder employs manifestation of the key symptoms associated with the condition followed by the psychological test to confirm and rule out other possible mental disorders.
Introduction
Antisocial personality disorder is a type of mental illnesses that is commonly diagnosed in the early adulthood. The condition is associated with personality problems of the affected persons that deviate from the normal conditions. The affected people do not depict ordinary personalities in their behavior, character and relationships. Anti-social personality as the name indicates is the deviation of the personality of the infected to manifestation of characters that inhibits socialism. The affected person is unable to form long and meaningful intimate and social relationships. The people having the problem may think and perceive that they do not have a problem. Usually, the affected persons seek treatment after compelling by friends or by the courts of law. Although the condition is not easily diagnosed, it can be predicted from manifestation of the various signs and symptoms that have been postulated for the use in the sector (Cloninger, 2005).
The paper will evaluate the various diagnostic designs employed for the condition. The paper will explore the leading signs and symptoms that are use in the diagnosis as well as the efficiency of their use depending on the stage of the development of the condition or the victim`s age. The writer will explore the benefits and the challenges associated with every diagnostic process. The paper will explore the most efficient diagnostic design and rationale using evidence-based practice. To attain that, the paper will employ exploratory and descriptive study design using available secondary and primary sources of data. The writer postulates that key symptoms of the condition are employed in the diagnosis and the process is faced with the critical challenges of the separation of the depicted symptoms to confirm and rule out other related mental disorders. The data collected from the secondary and the primary sources will be analyzed to indicate the common practices and the most recommended diagnostic design.
Purpose of the Research
The study was aimed to investigate the various diagnostic procedures and designs for the antisocial personality disorder. The investigation aimed to investigate the pros and cons of the designs employed in the diagnostic processes and use the analysis t recommend the best approach. In addition, the study aimed to investigate evidence-based diagnostic practices for the antisocial personality disorder and test the efficacy and usefulness of the design for possible recommendation in the use for diagnosing the condition. The study aims to investigate the primary signs and symptoms em0ployed in the diagnostic processes and their level of efficacy and implication towards healthcare provision and management of the antisocial personality disorder victims. The study will recommend the best diagnostic design based on the results of the research.
Relevance of the Study
Antisocial personality disorder is among the leading personality disorders that remains a critical challenge to the healthcare providers and the victims. The conditions are characterized with signs and symptoms that are sometimes difficult to point out especially in the younger periods of life. However, the symptoms may be perceived at the early adulthood of the victims. The challenges manifested by the condition are the failure of the victims to recognize that have a problem. Unless the person are surrounded by caring and keen family and close members that can detect the problems, the symptoms can easily be interpreted as lose morals and criminal behavior. Understanding of the critical symptoms and signs employed for the diagnosis as well as the most efficient diagnostic design evidenced through practice would be useful in recommending the best diagnostic design for use in the condition (Mark, 2013).
Study Questions
The study will have relevant and valid study questions aimed to indicate the best diagnostic designs for the antisocial personality disorder. The study questions will be aimed to investigate the stages of development of the disease, the possible changes in the manifested d symptoms, and the efficiency of the use of the symptoms in diagnosing the condition. The research will attempt to answer the following questions:
* What are the signs and symptoms of the antisocial personality disorder?
* What are the stages of development of the condition and the possible changes in the manifested signs by the victim?
* What is the level of efficacy and usefulness of the symptoms in the diagnostic process of the conditions?
* What are the various diagnostic processes employed for the condition and their clinical value?
* What are the most used diagnostic procedures for the conditions?
* What is the most useful and beneficial diagnostic evidence-based practice in the healthcare for the victims suffering from antisoc8ial personality disorder?
