The best definition of globalization is the process of harmonization and integration citizens from all walks of life, organizations,and government of different countries. Globalization is a process driven by international investment, trade, political systems and economic development. Globalization has a vast history, from earlier centuries when people used to conduct batter trade across enormous distances and geographical areas. However, the effects of globalization are not restricted to trade only. Other aspects are affected by the changing trends in globalization. For instance, in the recent past, people have started appreciating the value of learning foreign languages, because globalization has made the world a small village, meaning it is now easier to relocate and live in a foreign country. Similarly, education is one of the most critical areas that have changed with globalization. It is therefore imperative to look at various aspects of globalization, and its effects on education around the world.
Globalization has transformed the world in various aspects. The economy is the aspect which has benefited most from globalization, making the world’s economies more interdependent and interconnected. On the other hand, globalization has also made economies of most countries increasingly competitive and more dependent on knowledge mainly among western developed countries. According to Phillips &Schweisfurth (2014), global education is the result of globalization on a certain countries education system. Universal education interconnects several countries educational policies to boost the international development of conservational sustainability. Globalized education also contributes towards fortification of global industries. Modern educational initiatives prioritize access to global resources in schools from primary to thecollege level, prompting learning practices that prepare students for transnational leadership roles.
