Abstract
Caffeine intake is extremely high amongst youths for various reasons, such as prolonged working periods. It is a psychoactive substance legitimately obtainable to kids as well as teenagers, which are increasing caffeine consumers in the Western world. This paper investigates what different studies assert on whether caffeine negatively impacts youths' behavior. Various sources have been analyzed in response to the question. The present themes among sources include caffeine negatively affecting youths' behavior, violence, and behavior disorder, followed by the correlation between poor sleep quality and negative behavior. Numerous studies have associated caffeine with negative behavior among young adults. Some of the negative behaviors include violence, drug abuse, and delinquency. Poor quality sleep is associated with risky conduct, psychological and mental disorders. The impact of caffeine tends to depend on the dosage. Therefore, when taken in low amounts, caffeine is indeed helpful to the individual in terms of concentration and alertness contrary to when consumed in large quantities.

Historically and contemporarily, caffeine tends to be the most extensively consumed psychoactive substance globally. Additionally, it is the one psychoactive substance lawfully obtainable to kids as well as teenagers, which are increasing caffeine consumers in the Western world. According to an investigation by National Sleep Foundation, approximately 75% of high school students in the United States take a minimum of one caffeinated drink each day_various additional researches have revealed similar statistics (Anderson & Juliano, 2012). Typically, the rate at which caffeine has become popular amongst the youths is astounding, an aspect that has prompted terms of concern in the popular media as well as scholarly literature. Limited systematic investigations have been carried out on this subject. This topic relates to my specialization and professional interests in that I am very invested in counseling drug abusers. Most young people say that they can't do without caffeine, or without its intake, they experience headaches and behave in odd ways. Understanding the effects of whether caffeine can affect people's behavior, just like other drugs, is very informative to my professional interest. This paper explores what different studies assert on whether caffeine negatively impacts youths' behavior.
