The 9/11 period was a dreadful time for the American and after that moment the military number was inevitably going to increase. They had to receive funding, and their significance had to be felt (Weisner and Bailey, 1976).
The military is a significant unit of United States. When they are used in the right way, they without a doubt bring a lot of value to the nation, however if used in the wrong way their efforts and, unfortunately, their lives are wasted. It is about time that the residents of United States recognize these great warriors and the vital role they risk their lives in, to satisfy the interests of the nation.
The attacks on the US have changed the world forever. The military of the U.S has responded to the attacks in the nation by bringing Osama bin Laden and al-Qaeda to justice, thus weakening other terrorist networks. The army was able to capture Saddam Hussein after a speculation on the involvement of the September 11 attacks. There was aerial bombing in Afghanistan targeting Al-Qaeda and Taliban camps; afterwards the military followed on the ground (Crawford, 2015).

The U.S. Army was involved in the support of the Duvalier family dictatorship, which lasted for 30 years; afterwards they formed an opposition towards the activist priest, Jean-Bertrand Aristide. There was a mix-up since the CIA had dealings with torturers, drug traffickers, and death squads. The situation put the U.S. government in a tight position since they had facilitated the return of Aristide back to power regardless of the military coup that saw him exiled. His return was then delayed for two years (Crawford, 2015).Then U.S. military put Aristide back to the presidency, but on condition that he must not aid the poor at the expense of the rich and make a close association with the free-market economics.
Women in Afghanistan have long faced suppression from the Islamic fundamentalists long before the involvement of the Taliban. Though, during the late 1970s, the government of Afghanistan had a change of objectives and giving women equal chances as those of men was one of them (Biggar, 2011). The United States, on the other hand, facilitated a war over Afghanistan by donating billions of shillings because apparently they were being aided by the Soviet Union. The military had earlier increased the chances of a Soviet intervention knowledgeably. In the end, the United States won with millions of people affected (Weisner and Bailey, 1976).
