Lager
A lager is a beer that came about using the Bavarian yeast that took longer to ferment. The Germans originally called it 'lager bier,' which later became lager. The lager would later replace a large portion of the market for the American beer. In the American history of beer, the lager came about as a great simplification of previous brands with many advantages and a longer shelf life. The use of the lager came to be widely known and there were several mills popping up so as to embrace the developing scientific discoveries enabling more production.
