The Forbidden City is one of the world’s most spectacular historic site that tells the rich history of China. Located at the heart of the city of Beijing, the historic site is a phenomenon tourist attraction site that attracts tourist both foreign and domestic. But before the twentieth century, this site hosted 24 emperors from two Dynasties, the Ming and Qing dynasties (Pollard , Rosenberg and Tignor n.d.). Behind this architectural marvel is a deep history entangled in a masterpiece of construction that narrates the story of the ancient Chinese emperor.
The Origin of the Forbidden City is traced back to the fall of the influence of the Mongols in the Chinese regions. For years, the vast territory of China was dominantly governed by the Mongols who set up their administration controlled by the Persians, Syrians, and Turks CITATION Par \l 1033 (Parker n.d.). The fall of the Mongols and the uprising of the Chinese marked the beginning of the Ming dynasty which planned to establish a new China inspired by the Han and Tan dynasties.
