Carrie Hamilton conducts over a hundred interviews in which she inquires about the changes that sexuality and desire underwent following the 1959 Cuban Revolution. She interrogates several island Cubans on how race, desire, sex, and class intersect. The interview allows her to uncover the comprehensive history of sexuality and desire and whether the two concepts underwent any changes or not. She concludes that the sexual changes accompanied the social and economic circumstances at the time. Based on her reasoning, sexual changes after the Cuban Revolution was facilitated by social and economic changes.
