The Struggles of African Americans throughout American History (Research Paper Sample)

It’s showtime. You’ve analyzed sources to evaluate their credibility and utility (Project One). You’ve used historical evidence to support an interpretation (Midterm Exam). You’ve practiced finding and using sources on weekly Discussion Boards and in discussions. Now blend those skills by explaining how a topic that interests you changed over time. Ideally, your topic should be broad enough that you can track it through the three chronological periods we have studied, 1865-1914, 1914-1945, and 1945-2020.
Project length can vary greatly, but eight double-spaced pages is a reasonable goal. Alternate format projects should be of a roughly equivalent length and effort. For example, podcasts and documentaries should be between 16 and 24 minutes.
Excellent projects have clear thesis statements derived from deep research and deep thought. A project without a thesis statement is a project that has not answered the historical question it posed. A project with fewer than three primary sources and five secondary sources is a project that has not conducted deep research. Nor is a project that utilizes exactly three primary sources and five secondary sources necessarily deeply researched. Your job is to become an expert on the theme you select, and to share your mastery of the issue with your audience.
Citations and Bibliography: Your project must cite sources and contain a bibliography.
Essay writers must use footnotes to cite sources. Format the footnotes according to the instructions in Going to the Source, Appendix II or Rampolly, chapter 7. If you choose an alternate format, see below for tips on citing sources.
Everyone must submit a bibliography, regardless of format. The bibliography for Project 2 should have separate sections for primary and secondary sources. Your bibliography does not count toward the page requirement.

i forgot to put my questions that you are suspose to answer. The Topic for project 2 I chose was the struggles of African Americans throughout American history. I believe this is a very important topic and everyone should understand what's going on. My first question is Why did the white men and women treat African Americans so terrible. All the milestones the past African Americans did in the past and how they affect today. and my last question is why hasn't this problem in the United States been fixed already because racism is destroying people's lives.
