Advancements in modern technology, especially that of the internet has greatly impacted on social norms since individuals are now able to interact and communicate with ease. The impact of the technological change has not only affected the social norms but also the business and non-business entities all over the world. The internet through the use of social media sites has revolutionised the way marketing is done to the level that virtual selling is now possible. Currently, Small medium enterprises (SMEs) are great being recognised as contributors of the economy given their huge aggregate volume traded. Despite their huge potentials, SMEs are often faced by various limitations and acceptance barriers in adopting a new technology although the revolution of internet and communication channel has changed the way people conduct business in the world today. The same SMEs have opted to leverage on these social media tools as an e-marketing platform not only to improve their opportunities but also to change the shape and nature of their business. Therefore, these marketing plan intendeds to examine the impact of social media on SMEs, a case analysis of the coffee shop business entity.
