Starbucks Corporation is one of the leading retailers, marketers, and premier roasters of coffee in the world. It was started in 1985 (Starbucks Corporation 10-K). Its outlets offer a variety of products ranging from caffe latte, espresso microground instant coffee, whole-bean coffee, hot and cold drinks and teas. Additionally, the company offers snacks like crackers and chips. The majority of its stores offer pre-packaged food items, drinkware, cold and hot sandwiches with a few locations, the “Starbucks Evenings” offering appetizers, wine, and beer. The company has grown significantly over the years, which prompts the need to examine its marketing strategy, strengths and weaknesses, local growth opportunities, as well as the environmental treats that might affect its performance.
