Introduction
Global warming can be described as the rise in global temperatures and an increase in radiant ultraviolet emissions from the sun hence scorching the surface of the earth. Anderson, Hawkins, and Jones (2016, p. 179) assert that in the past 50 to 60 years, the rise of such temperatures has been characterized by diseases that affect the skin of human beings as well as imbalance in the ecosystem. As an international disaster, global warming has been discussed in different international forums such as the United Nations Environmental Program among others (Plimer & Plimer, 2009, p. 260).
Causes of Global Warming
Van der Linde, (2015, p. 172) outlines that the main of global warming is the emission of Carbon (IV) oxide (CO2) and other air pollutants into the atmosphere. These chemical compounds and gases interfere with the greenhouse construction, thereby making the ozone layer to be thin and translucent for the powerful sun rays to pass through. The other source of Carbon (IV) oxide into the atmosphere is the burning of fossil fuels which is a significant source of electricity in many parts of the world (Freije, Hussain, and Salman, 2017, p. 12).
