Dissertation aim
To assess the impact of early withdrawal of A.U. Forces from Somalia, a reflection of the U.S Forces withdrawal from Afghanistan.
To critically identify the significance of A.U. Forces in Somalia in the fighting the Al-Shabaab.
Objectives:
The study makes a comprehensive analysis for re-known scholarly articles regarding previous withdrawals to draw conclusion. The study explores the recent withdrawal of U.S. Forces from Afghanistan and compares its implication to A.U. Forces early withdrawal from Somalia.
Make the point:
Early withdrawal of A.U. Forces from Somalia would be disastrous not only to the Somalian government but also the countries bordering it. However, an intense impact would be felt by the vulnerable Somalians who would be subject to Al-Shabaab and its atrocities.

Initial Conclusions: That if AU forces withdraw without a clear and agreed exit strategy by all actors and partners, the government forces would not be able to take-over security and Al-Shabab would seize control.
That the local population would live in fear of their lives as the Al-Shabaab takes over. Insecurity, corruption, tribal conflicts, and hunger would suffice and would take Somalia decades to restore itself from the hands of Al-Shabaab and its vices.

The literature was confined to the strategic level solely to address conflicts in order to limit the prospective sources to something relevant for this research. In addition, only those who discussed the period of the war retreat were assessed. Each source was then examined for the application to this research using this small portion of the literature to focus on. The hasty withdrawal marked a frustrating conclusion to a protracted U.S. involvement raising issues regarding the feasibility of stable democratic administrations in nations without a definite representation structure (Mearsheimer, n.d. pp. 6). However, the withdrawal of U.S. troops from Afghanistan occurs under the Doha Agreement (the Peace Agreement in Afghanistan) that the Trump administration and Taliban signed on 29 February 2020 and provides for the withdrawal of all foreign forces from Afghanistan in exchange for a Taliban commitment to stop Al-Qaeda. Besides, Biden's administration's decision to withdraw U.S. forces from Afghanistan was wise since pursuing U.S. military involvement would not stop that process, and the U.S. would better spend its military, diplomatic, financial, and leadership resources on other matters (“The White House,” 2021). Therefore, the research problem: Lessons learned by A.U. Forces in Somalia resulting from U.S. Forces withdrawal from Afghanistan are presented in various theories of withdrawal such as the prevailing theory, the competing theory, and the other theory make the study feasible.
