Introduction Echo Park is among the great neighborhood of Los Angeles. It borders Chinatown, Downtown and Silver Lake. A recent study conducted around the area has proven a gradual change in education level; it is shifting upward. Similarly, the park started being renovated, and the pit stop was rebuilt for the visitors strolling the park. After the park's renovation, there were several entertainment points for the visitors who wander around the park. They enjoyed the tennis game, fishing, canoes and also musical entertainment. For a very long time, Echo Park has remained to be the hippest neighborhood. Additionally, throughout the area, Sunset Boulevard remained the dominant commercial artery and thoroughfare running. Problem Statements Art and artists have contributed significantly to the music industry's success in Echo Park and its Neighbourhood. Unfortunately, success has contributed to insecurity issues in the park and its neighborhood. The insecurity issues may include food insecurity and also security for the artists and people in general. Like twelve years, the old child was killed mercilessly, and the homeless people were attacked killed. Research questions 1 What is the effect of art on residents in the neighborhood? 2 What are the attitude, practices, and knowledge people in Echo Park have about art/artists? 3 What is the rate of insecurity associated with art in the Echo Park neighborhood? Objectives 1 To examine whether art/artist is associated with insecurity issues in the neighborhood. 2 To survey people living in the neighborhood to determine the effect of art on them. 3 Assess the attitude, practice, and knowledge of art in the neighborhood. Literature Review In the past decade, Echo Park has played a crucial part in art history. Echo Park was considered out of town a few miles northwest of downtown Los Angeles. Due to this isolation, it provided a home for art and artists. Echo Park is a cultural stronghold of Los Angeles due to its artistic work history (Molina, pg. 97). Echo Park, as in many neighborhoods, arts and artists are broadly associated with stimulating change in the area, contributing to both positive and negative consequences. Art remains the major localized force that has been credited with promoting improvement in the community. Many of the case study work reveals that individual artists, creative companies, and artistic spaces (e.g., small galleries, music venues, museums, and art studios) act as a "colonizing arm" that tends to establish the initial conditions for Echo Park. Echo Park has always had an artist's essence, and you can still see the passion today. In the 1920s and 1930s, this was a considerable place for artists to work, shoot their films and make their paintings. It was the home of Keystone Studios, one of the first film studios in L.A. Echo Park is a community of artistic people (Schickel, pg. 52). Hip-hop, pop art, and all forms of civil disobedience have significant origins in L.A. Art, in general, has developed and replicated an esthetic and philosophical association of the members of the society with the position to which they belong, creating the foundations of common neighborhood identity. The literature developed by the Movimiento's writers and artists created a collective forum for the residents. Likewise, the neighborhood dwellers' familiar voices were engraved on the walls by murals and contemporary graffiti, which acted as communal representation spaces (Searching for Graffiti on Virtual Walls: An Analysis of Unsanctioned Literacies and the Presence of Conscientização - ProQuest, 20). Corridos, famous songs in specific, and other modes of creative expression portrayed and articulated the people's being through a process of group identity. It is a joint exercise for graffiti gadgets to be involved with the injunction of the gang. Artist graffiti can face delicate and lengthy imprisonment sentences for only having graffiti paraphernalia, such as slap tag and spray paints (Forman, pg. 20). Another clause of the Gang Settlement of Glendale Corridor is the illegality of clothing types deemed "gang-related." Justifications The study's justification will help identify the rise of art in Echo Park and increase bars and restaurants due to performance growth. It is appropriate to observe the roles of the artists and their contributions to the Echo Park neighborhood. It is expected that the study would research the problem that arises in Echo Park as the population rises, such as the crime rate issues. It is also hoped that the research would identify the factors that influence the rate of crime rate and art performance. Finally, the study results will be so helpful since it will observe the development of art and reduce the crime rate. Research Design and Methods To address how artists and art contribute to safety in the Echo Park neighborhood in Los Angeles. The researcher proposes to employ both quantitative and qualitative approaches to gather data. However, due to Covid-19 restrictions, the researcher relies mostly on secondary sources that are already published. These are: Newspaper articles: Magazines by journalists who previously researched neighborhood security and art provide excellent help towards this research's success. The researcher intends to access magazines from a newspaper through the literature review above. Articles and journals: From the literature review above, the researcher can gather information about Echo Park. Journals and articles on security in Echo Park will also help to provide a basis for this study. The researcher, however, should expand on already existing information. In addition to gathering data, the researcher also uses critical thinking abilities to analyze and draw accurate conclusions. By accessing the relationship between art and crime or other contributors affecting security, the researcher will draw smart statistical and literal conclusions. Report of the Research Introduction This report entails how the art/artists have led to Echo Park's rise in the clubs and restaurants sectors. Therefore, the art profile of Echo Park has changed gradually as many artists are developing and popping of clubs and restaurants in the neighborhood. Due to the art development, the report considers the effect of Echo Park and the impact on reducing the crime rate since the police officers arrested and killed some of the gang's members. Methodology. Material for this study was gathered from several secondary sources, all of which are mentioned in the Reference List. Data from the publications of the gentrification in Echo Park have proved to be useful in this report. This article is not a thorough analysis of the available literature but offers a general overview of the issue. Scope of the report Wherever the term "Echo Park" is mentioned, art and artists come along with it. Information linking Echo Park and art will be the basis of this research. The research will focus on the historical times to the present-day Echo Park city. The main focus is to analyze how security is affected by art and artists in Echo Park and not just a complete change and security sequence. Findings Art in Echo Park After exploring the research area, it was seen that echo park takes art as a way of living. Thousands of murals, street arts, and graffiti are found all over the area. Images of skeleton baseball players, birds dancing, clowns, ladies, legends, animals, etc., are painted on the streets. This graffiti makes the roads look glamorous and pretty. Sometimes this art is used in business to promote products. A series of murals extend over a quarter-mile line of retaining walls on Sunset Boulevard in the Echo Park, Los Angeles. Painted by graffiti writers Cache and Eye-One, the murals portray cartoonish chickens riding bicycles and small, masked zapatist characters lifting their fists in playful defiance. Various embodiments of the core mural portrayed smaller chickens playing ball and reading books, Zapatistas eagerly halting the wheels of commercial developmeL.A., the L.A. skyline, the Hollywood sign, and cat characters painted by the new CBS partner Atlas (City Bomb Squad) graffiti team. Amanda Serrano (LAPD Senior Lead Officer) reported that etching on glass and graffiti occurrence had gone up while the crime rate tremendously decreased to 8% in Echo Park. The officer also considered that tags, scratchitti, and art appear on properties without the owner's permission or, if the graffiti is offensive...
