The benefits of marijuana are quite a number. Notably, the health sector has immensely reaped the benefits that come with the consumption of marijuana. Research according to (Welsh and Loria, 2014), marijuana can be used in the treatment of glaucoma. Glaucoma is an illness that affects the eye. It causes massive damage to the optic nerve which can ultimately result in loss of vision. With the consumption of marijuana, this illness is drastically reduced. Marijuana will lead to the lowering of intraocular pressure hence preventing blindness from occurring. (Welsh and Loria, 2014).
