Abstract
The main purpose for this research is to addressing the issue of young immigrant students attending schools in the US. The focus of this study is based on the emotional, behavioral, and academic adaptation of immigrant children and adolescents, in relation to their level of post-migration stress and the support provided to them by social networks. According to research there are six hundred thousand immigrant elementary, middle, and high school students that are being affected by this situation. Poor adaptations are associated with higher stress levels of social support following migration. This research proposal will then cover everything about social network and young immigrant.
This topic is relevant in education as both the second generation and immigrant Americans do represent an increasing share of college students. The discussion publication of such articles helps the immigrant students understand that they tend to perform very well in the higher education, hence being able to achieve graduate degrees and occupy top-tier occupations at higher rates than America’s native born children. Schools in amerce have failed to foster appreciation and acceptance of different present students. Classically considered to be American born or white middle class minority groups have been seen to surpass the American mainstream. Although minority students who are immigrants does makes more than half the School population of about twenty percent of the youth population. In schools within the US Peer bullying have persists as a major problem for immigrant and the immigrant youths children. The immigrant students are reportedly attacked based on lack of power and ethnicity in comparison to their peers brought about by the cultural and language difference.
