HEC FUNDING of PhDs: A Quality Perspective
Abstract:
The competition in the higher education industry is increasing every year, as a result the higher education commissions are focusing more on the quality of higher education. Devising strategies to attract brilliant students and creating effective and efficient higher education facilities is part of the plan implemented by the commissions around the globe. Education commissions are focusing more on evaluating their national and foreign scholarship quality service they deliver and scholarship quality can be measured as a market service and quality of student produced. Pakistan is going through particularly challenging times in the globalized knowledge society and economy. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to fill the gap in academic literature concerning the quality of national and overseas scholarship sponsored by the Higher Education of Pakistan.
