THREE PARTY SCRIPT ON SOLVING A CONFLICT WITH A MEDIATOR
Introduction
Every day in our lives we encounter different people whether we know the or we don’t. These interactions may lead to fruitful relationships with them or may just end up with casual friendships. These interactions may get the workers so cosy that they at times engages in risky talks that may leave others offended. These types of jokes may cause conflict to arise among the workers. This being one of the causing factors studies have shown that at least a good number of supervisors spend at least 25 percent of their office time resolving workplace related conflicts, which causes lover office performance. Other sources of conflict that have been proofed are lack of good communication from those serving at higher ranks leading to misinformation, different values among the workers, different interests, scarce resources that undermine the working conditions, and personality clashes. Its normal for conflicts to occur but we need to know how to deal with them as soon as they are experienced to ensure a healthy working environment. One of the most effective methods I have learnt we can use to deal with such cases is through the use of a mediator to delegate the peace-making process between the victims.
The conflict theory makes some assumptions. In this case one of the assumptions considered is scarcity of resources such as money. This helps portray better why there is conflict between Sharon and Kevin. From the excerpt, Sharon (bourgeoisie) uses her state and position as the owner of the property to control Kevin (proletariat).
