Marketing entails all the processes that involve planning, pricing, promoting and distributing brands, services as well as ideas with the aim of satisfying the organizational goals. It simply involves transferring good and services from the point of production to the point of consumption. A marketing plan, therefore, describes the steps that an organization takes in creating its services, making them known to the customers, arousing consumer interest, and selling the brands to them in an efficient manner (Pride & Ferrell, 2008).
A marketing plan allows the firm to know its activities, understand its potential markets, and unravel its strengths and weaknesses in a way that allows it meets its goals and objectives effectively. According to Pride & Ferrell (2008), the primary value of business marketing plan is that it allows the company to allocate responsibilities to all its employees which boost cooperation in the firm and thus success. A company that understand the value of a marketing plan and embraces the culture of effecting it rips huge benefits.
The marketing message, on the other hand, should be designed to capture the potential clients’ attention and explain why they should consider your business over others. The marketing message should speak to the prospects, and the company should appeal the customers’ sensitivities to arouse positive emotional reactions and responses. Paying attention to the target customers and understanding what they need helps a company design an advertising message that motivates the clients to purchase the brand (Pride & Ferrell, 2008). An example of a marketing message, in this case, is “the ultimate solution to your health concerns.”
