The major benefit for the British Empire was acquiring a trade route towards North America. This benefited the British very much since they had acquired a trading site to the North America where they acquired many products from. It is noted that the British Empire had sent James Cook for an expedition to North America to explore and map the west coast for British Empire beneficial purposes to the unexplored vast North America lands.
Another benefit for the British Empire was establishment of a relationship with Hawaii and other North America Islands. This relationship benefited the British Empire since they got raw materials to facilitate their industrial revolution. They gained tobacco, sugar, indigo and cash crops without having to pay for hard currency.
Also the British Empire acquired men to fight later in the ongoing wars in their colonies in Africa and various parts of Asia like India. After the discovery the British Empire was reported later on to draw shipments full of Hawaii men and boys who would be trained to fight from the Hawaii Island to Britain
Notably another impact of Cook’s discovery of the Hawaii Island to the British Empire was acquisition of the Pacific map. In Cook’s expedition he came back with the entire Pacific map that later on helped the British Empire locate new lands to colonize Cuba and Jamaica inclusive.
