Human Trafficking in the United States of America
Name
Institution Title
Human Trafficking in the United States of America
Introduction
Human trafficking can be identified as one of the current methods of carrying out slavery activities. it is a method of slavery in which the there is smuggling and illegal trade of people in with an intention of having the serve in favour of sexual exploitation and the hard labour practices in the different locations. The problem has been considered as a factor that goes against human rights. Human trafficking exists as a result of poverty, government corruption practices, and increasing rates of prostitution. Though there are different causes of human trafficking, the government can be considered the central cause of this practice in the United States of America.
Background Information
The existence of human trafficking has been centrally attributed to the women. The current form of human trafficking may take a variety of perspectives. According to the analysis of the current trends, human trafficking may take the perspectives such as working within confined measures with no pay and no other methods of finding a different means of employment. According to the analysis of the human trafficking victims, they are considered to have limited access to the opportunities that exist to the legitimate citizens such as access to the social amenities (Bernadin, 2010). Human trafficking is considered to exist under three conditions that exist in the process. According to the definition, the act is an essential part of the determination of human trafficking. Harbouring, recruitment and other activities related to the transportation of persons may affect the determination of the practice. The means of action also determines the existence of practice. It determines the methods such as force, fraud and abduction carried out to obtain the human. The purpose is also an essential determinant since it evaluates the need like sexual exploitation. There are risks factors that can be involved in the existence of the human trafficking activities. Age, sex, physical conditions, and poverty levels may determine the existence of human trafficking activities in the United States (Timoshkina, 2014). Currently, the United States of America has developed the laws and legislations considered to assist in the prevention of human trafficking activities. According to different analysis, the laws and regulations have not been sufficient in ensuring maximum regulations against the human trafficking actions.
Supporting the arguments that the government is a central cause of human trafficking
The weak law implementation strategies of the government are a central cause of the human trafficking in the United States. This factor implies that the government has not developed different strategies such as the implementation of different laws that may be applicable in ensuring an end to the human trafficking function (Timoshkina, 2014). According to the concerns of the of the human right activists, it can be established that the government has not actively engaged in the rules and laws that may hinder the human traffickers from operating with ease in the United States of America. According to the current trends, the human traffickers have been operating without much difficulty on and off the United States of America. The existence of such ease has implied that the regulations and the legislations instituted by the government are not good enough to enhance the protection of the possible victims against the human traffickers. According to Foer (2010), there is a description that attempts to link between the humans and the animals. Foer describes the position of the humans in an imaginative manner in a cage. This is a symbolic way that can be used in describing the position of the human beings when they fall victims of the human traffickers. It also implies that there are some possibilities that can exist in the in which the human beings can be compared to animals due to limited support of their position as humans.
Another possible reason for the attribution of the human trafficking crime to the government is that most of the human trafficking authorities are within the government. According to the statistics that have engage the central causes of human trafficking, the persons who are closely associated with the government have been considered to be the central players. From the implication, it can be explicitly stated that the players have influences and have protection through the government. The facts that the government contains such criminals that are responsible for the perpetration of human trafficking activities imply that there are possible attributions that can be related to the government. According to Bernadin (2010), "Potential victims are at even greater risk when they come from countries experiencing political and economic instability, civil unrest, or natural disasters”. This factor has two implications to imply that government may imply loose ends for the perpetrators to carry out their activities relating to the human trafficking in the United States.
The other possible factor that relates to the government as the central cause of the human trafficking can be based on the facts that they determine the immigrant and the entrance laws affecting the foreign citizen entry into the country. According to statistics, most of the human traffickers are considered to be the immigrants that flew their countries for different reason. The government of the United States has failed to perform prior assessment that may make necessary security and safety. According to the philanthropic views, the government ha...
