The task for this assessment is to prepare and present a plan for your development as a
leader. The period of your plan could be 2, 5 or 10 years. Select the period that makes the most
sense to you, depending on the current stage of your life and career. Briefly explain the
reason for the time period that you have selected.
Your plan needs to be based on or anchored by an established model of personal
development. A number of possible models were provided in Module 1. The choice of a
model is up to you. The Whitman GROW and Boyatzis Intentional Change models are two of
the most comprehensive at a personal level. However, other models may be more relevant
to your current needs. You are also welcome to use an appropriate model that was not
included in Module 1, provided it meets the tests of academic rigor and usefulness to you.
Provide a brief description of your chose model and a justification for your selection. It is
important that you go to the source documents and not rely only on the summary version of
your chosen model.
Additional information on leadership development to help you prepare your plan and to
continue your reflexive journal is provided in the subject Resources section of each module.
The report provides suitable data and information regarding the initiation of a leadership plan, application of individual development factors as an essential prospect to create awareness in an individual. In this report, I am going to present my leadership plan which is going to be achieved within 5 years. Leadership development strategy is constructed in compliance with the definite strategies and policies combined with the leadership trait theories that are basically followed in various organizations. I have chosen the GROW model which provides constant guidance for leadership development. It creates necessary awareness among the leaders regarding duties and responsibilities to be implemented within the organization. Different leadership theories have also been selected such as Transformational leadership, The Great Man Theory, The transactional leadership theory, Democratic leadership theory, Trait theory, Behavioral theories of leadership. Each of these theories has an essential impact on organizational and leaders' personal development if followed in an inappropriate manner. Proper analysis of motivation and the abilities inherent while providing necessary incentives to the employees has assisted greatly in achieving an excellent work environment. The evaluation of studious and spontaneous practices in improving the continuous development process has proved to be favorable and applicable in organizational premises

Introduction
The report has detailed reflection of arrangement and demonstration of plans for individual development as a leader. The time cycle combined with the group plan is estimated to be about 2 years according to the current aspect in life. I have chosen a time period of 2 years for developing an individual. My objective is to undertake small steps within limited amount of time in order to accomplish the purpose and ambitions of the work activities that are supposed to be managed. The plans and strategies to be undertaken will include the utilization of Whitman grow model which is to be formulated in an impressive way. The GROW model is a useful model that assists in construction and administering various counselling and guidance issues which are essential in order to deal with activities in an efficient way (KoortzenI & Oosthuizen, 2010).
