Short summary
Pakistan’s economy is largely dependent on agriculture as it is taken as a backbone of economic life. Moreover, agriculture sector is source of livelihood for majority of population in Pakistan. But, rapid expansion of population causes shrinking of agriculture lands, this uneven expansion of population is converting agricultural areas into residential colonies. In this way, agricultural sector of Pakistan is threatened and lamented that no effective measures have been taken so far to tackle it. Government of Pakistan, for instance, should provide the credit facilities to poor farmers so that they can use capital intensive technique to increase their production. So, it is pivotal to meet the emerging challenges that are agriculture sector in Pakistan on emergency basis.
