Chapter I Introduction
During the therapeutic process, one of the most important factor on which the effectiveness of therapy and its positive outcome depends is rapport building. Sometimes for this purpose clinical psychologists use self-disclosure. But its impact is questionable as the term has different interpretations among the psychologist’s community itself. There are also many other potential factors that contributes to have a positive or even negative impact which can be individuality, ethnicity, the process of implementation etc. But the potential question is whether to call it a malpractice or not based on the data gathered on experiences of those who have utilized it. Therefore it is important to study this factor, and current study aims to focus on that which will be a significant contribution to the field of clinical psychology.
